The past two days the weather here has been absolutely gorgeous! So of course I took advantage of this warm weather in January and shot with a good friend of mine. We had this idea for a shoot a few weeks back but our schedules kept conflicting. We shot in the woods behind her house and this is one of my favorite images from that shoot.

Sunkissed

While going through some shots from Cedar Island I really like this one I got of Victoria. She looks so relaxed, with no cares in the world. It was definitely one of my favorite times I shot with her.

Rain Is A Good Thing

The spontaneous days are my favorite. Yesterday the weather was not what most people call perfect, the sun was not out and it wasn’t warm but it was rainy and chilly.  I happen to love the rain, something about it is just very calming and peaceful. I took some time out to go to Barns & Noble book store and read a little about lighting and some other things photography related. Later I decided to just kind of ride around in my car and as I was passing one of my favorite places to shoot, the abandon house I suddenly got an idea of something I wanted to do. I had my camera and tripod in my car so I turned around and parked to get out and shoot. I got some great self portraits, it was like I got in the house and million ideas ran through my head.This was definitely something I needed to do for me.

My Favorite Stretch of road Thanks to a Good Friend

A long road in the middle of nowhere , handcuffs and my muse only good things can come from this!! When me and a few friends went up to Cedar Island a week ago before we actually got to the beach part of it there is a long stretch of road my friend Mikey who is also a photographer showed me and we stopped to get some pictures of the models that came up with us. I cannot wait to make another trip up there.

Grand Opening

Yesterday was a friend of mine store’s grand opening. I went to show my support and friends of mine who were also there were in some really awesome costumes. I could not resist but to get some pictures of them plus there was this really old restored car there that was brought up by someone there and we had permission to use it for pictures. Later my friend Mikey invited me to go with him to a park a few min down the road with some of the girls to get pictures and naturally of course I wanted to go. I had a blast and got some great shots.

Missing The Summer Sun

The past few days has been kind of chilly outside which yes I know is normal for the month of January but almost all of December was nice and warm. I just found myself missing that warm summer sun being out at the beach and all the beautiful flowers oh and of course the longer days. One of my favorite places to take pictures is at the beach and its even better when it’s warm enough to put your toes in the water.

Cedar Island

I started the new year off by taking a small road trip with a few friends to a beach called Cedar Island. It is incredibly peaceful there I found myself stopping to enjoy how nice it was. There is hardly anyone there and it goes on for miles with beautiful trees , and wild horses that roam. My Muse was one of the models who came and I was able to get some great shots of her on the sand.I also played with the shadows from the sun a little bit which is new to me in a way but I really liked how they came out. I got to try a few ideas I had in my head and that is always a great feeling, doing what you see in your mind. I definitely feel like I brought the New Year In right I would not have had it any other way.

Sisters

There is no bond like a bond between sisters.  A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to do a shoot with a good friend of mine and her younger sister at a park close to their house. Not only did I have a blast working with them but they had a great time being goofball’s and spending time together. I’m glad I got the chance to shoot with them two together and would love to again in the future they are both beautiful and fun to work with.
